• The local Brendon Orchards Co-operative will be apple picking and pressing apples for juice and cider mid-August – mid-November. Make some apple juice for you and your family and friends. Contact: Email. Website: Brendon Orchards
• Wivey is part of the national Walkers are Welcome organisation. Locally run walking group, Wivey Walkers, organises informal, friendly walks every month, usually on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Visitors welcome! Walks vary from 5 to 10 miles and may be around Wivey or on Exmoor, the Brendon Hills, Quantocks or Blackdowns. Shorter gentle walks also organised. • WiveyPool is open until Sunday 28th September, offering lane swimming, afternoon Come & Swim sessions, swimming classes, Aqua fit and WaterPolo. The water in our outdoor pool is heated to 26 degrees. Day swimmers welcome. £6 for adults £5 for children 5+. Entry from The Rec on West Street. Book at Wiveypool
• The Dog Walking Meadow in Chipstable is open every day of the year from 6am to 10pm. Your dogs can run free in a safe enclosed space without meeting other dogs. Prices from £6 for half an hour. Book at Dogwalking Meadow

• Wiveliscombe Tennis Club, in The Rec on West Street, has three fully maintained all-weather courts, all with full floodlighting and a characterful clubhouse with great facilities. Non-members welcome. Pay and Play from £8 an hour per court (up to four players). Book at: WiveliscombeTennisClub
